Another early morning start for activities as the hired boards had to be back by 9.00am, so the surfers trekked down to the beach. A grey morning so nobody around, waves were good but the water temperature wasn't as cold as I feared. The hungry surfers returned for brunch over which the next activities were planned.
As the weather was brightening and the tide out, it was ideal for beach games. Teams picked and Go Pro camera set up so everyone's efforts could be recorded for posterity or just to cause some amusement later in the day! The Sarah and Duncan team thrashed everyone with a half century not out. Kite flying and boules followed, more actives to build up an appetite for lunch. Luckily we had made the most of the good weather and after the afternoon siestas another table tennis tournament and the puzzle was progressing slowly.
Another body boarding and surfing trip to the beach was planned for high tide and some of us went off to Porthilly Cove for some swimming practice. Ice cold water , wind and rain added to the enjoyable experience. Bethany loved it, but admitted it was a bit different from the outings her other Auntie and Uncle take her on. ( to a garden centre! )
Dave and Barb had been dispatched for hot chocolate and marshmallows , which was enjoyed by the cold bodies when they returned .
Another excellent dinner of Barb's homemade quiches and pavlova after viewing today's activities that had been recorded.
The ladies team winning the evening games was a fitting finish to another active day.
