We have had a lovely relaxing couple of days here at Barn Hill, so much that we have extended our stay to 5 nights ;)
We had a good look around, found some great rock pools which were perfect for the kids to swim in. Indi especially loved playing in them.
It takes a bit to get loaded up with everything we need for the kids and bubs for a morning down the beach but well worth it when we get there. It's too hard to take the prams down there so we set up the shade tents. Zane loves cruising around in the puddles and Archie is fine in his sling or if it gets too hot he can have a lil sleep in shade tent.
Sal and I ventured into the water and poor sal found it a bit hard to stay on her feet with the strong current. I tried to help her while I was having just a lil giggle. Then karma struck and it was my turn to be dumped under the water and Sal got a laugh.
Today we went for a drive north to Eco beach resort. It was a really nice resort with safari tents set amongst the bush land and another beautiful beach. As day visitors we could use the facilities and eat at the restaurant but unfortunately the lovely pool overlooking the ocean was out of bounds.
Shaun, Garry and the kids had a swim in the water while Sal and I found some hammocks in the shade and had a lovely swing with Archie and Zane. Archie loved it! It was his first time in a swing and he was having a ball :) I'd love to get him a baby swing for home when we get back.
We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant, starting with cocktails all round :) they were a bit small for the price and not the nicest ones but we drank them anyway. We had a nice friendly man from Hervey Bay serving us, he was great with the kids and they were all really well behaved. They had ice cream after there lunch and even better... they ate for free!!
We headed back to camp after lunch for a siesta and started packing up camp ready to head to Broome in the morning. This is definitely another spot I hope to come back to one day!
