We all set our alarms for 5am this morning as we had a full day driving ahead of us to our next camp at Barn Hill, just south of Broome. Every other morning I'm up around 4am feeding Archie but of coarse this morning he had slept through and I had to wake him ;)
We set off at 6.30 so we are getting this packing up down to 1 & 1/2 hrs now which is super!
Stopped at Port Headland for fuel and some all important chocolate to have with our baileys tonight :) Was surreal to see the massive salt stacks in town.
We were looking for somewhere nice to pull over for lunch and decided to drive 9 k's off the highway out to a caravan park at 80 mile beach. Wow... what an awesome spot that we were totally not expecting! Beautiful aqua blue beach that went for miles and miles. We drove straight onto the beach and Gary got bogged on the soft sand ;) so Sal and I took the kids down to the water while the boys dug Garry out. The first time sal and I don't have spare clothes for the kids and they are all straight in the water! Including lil Zaney :) It was so shallow way out and perfect for the kids.
Indi collected some lovely shells and we all had wraps for lunch under the awnings of the cars right on the beach... this was what the trip was about!
