Today was a bit of a nothing day whilst we moved from Yudanaka to Kawaguchiko. We started out with breakfast at Shimaya and our normal routine of having a bath. We then packed up our things and went down to check out.

Yumoto-san asked to get a photo of us with him and his wife before we left which I guess is something he does with all of his guests so that was nice. We also got given a five yen good luck ribbon to tie to our bags. His daughter then gave us a lift to the station which was lovely.

It took us four trains and 6 hours to get to Kawaguchiko which I suppose is alright. One of our trains wasn't super comfortable though but the time passed quickly enough.

It was about a 15min walk from Kawaguchiko station to our hostel, K's house, but it was good to walk around after being on the train for so long.

When we got to the hostel we checked in and then did some laundry straight away. My clothes were getting pretty smelly so I was glad to be able to wash everything.

Whilst the two loads were going we sat around in the common room and then at 6:30pm the hostel had a sushi making party so we joined in on that. It was fun and we made some pretty tasty sushi. We made some friends as well so after the sushi party ended we sat around and socialised with everyone. They also played a few rounds of sushi roulette but we didn't join in on that. Shannon had a few drinks and got a little bit drunk and started inviting everyone to come to Fujikyu with us tomorrow and then tried to organise a bike ride for the 26th so we'll see how that goes.

I'm pretty tired now so hopefully I sleep well tonight. Oh yeah, it's past midnight so Merry Christmas!
