Happiness Is The Road
We awoke in the morning stinking of smoke. Our fire had been brilliant. I was hoping to see some kangaroos on the campground as there were quite a few of them when I was last here. They proved to be very elusive though this time round. We didn't see any at all. After brekky we went to have a look at Redgate Beach just down the road. It was chucking it down with rain when we got there and the sea was wild and ferocious. We sat and watched the show for a while before driving to Margaret River to go food shopping. After this we drove back to the coast to Prevelly Beach. I had enjoyed my stay on the caravan park here last year and I thought it'd be good to return here. It was like a different place today and resembled a bit of a shanty town. There were tatty and scrappy tents all over the place and the people looked a bit dodgy. We got the best spot we could and at least it was nice and quiet, for now anyhow! The weather had cleared up now with big swathes of blue in the sky. We went for a walk to the beach but could see storm clouds gathering over the sea. We could see rain on the horizon and it was coming our way. We got back to the camper van just in time as soon after all the black clouds gathered together and a torrential onslaught of rain and wind began. It didn't stop raining all day. We had no choice but to cosy up in the camper van getting buffeted by the wind and thrashed by the rain. All was good until about half ten when a Harley Davidson roared into the campsite and soon after the deep bass thud of music started up. This went on for ages. Inconsiderate *******s.
