This was a day for trying to get to Karumba. It was quite a long way away but is manageable. We arrived there in time to watch another truely amazing sunset. Karumba is just on the sea, it's called 'the outback by the sea' so the sun sets over it. There were pelicans flying about as the sun set to make it even more incredible. Stefan bought us a couple of beers from the pub as a thank you for the lift and the beers the previous night. Stefan hadn't slept well the previous night so he went to bed early while we red a bit and then settled down after trying to catch some of the wallabies that were wandering around.
The following day we got up early to head to normaton then on to lawn hill national park. In Normaton we stopped off to have a look at a replica of a crocodile that was shot. It was 8 meters long! Terrifying to think that something like that could still be out there!
After Normaton we headed south till we got to Burke and Will's roadhousewhere we said goodbye to Stefan, as he was headind down further. We then headed to Adele's grove, a campsite just by Lawn hill national park. On the way there, it was 70 km of dirt, very bumpy in our 2 wheel drive car but definitely worth it when we got there!
