From Airlie beach after waking up at 10, we drove for 4 hours to Plauma national park. On the way we wanted to post a jumper that Antonia had left in our car back to her but we found out that the Post offices are all closed at weekends!
Plauma national park was a park that is meant to be stunning with some rock slides and rock pools just up from it so we headed there. We arrived at the campsite just before dark so couldn't go searching for firewood because of snakes and other nasties lurking in the dark. It was also a little bit illegal as firewood had to be bought in a place nearby.
We then cooked some kangaroo steaks we bought earlier that day along with beers, with some sweet potato chips. The kangaroo steaks were amazing!! We got them at discounted prices so that made it taste so much better.
The next day I got up a lot earlier than Seumas so sat about reading my kindle in the shade as it was so hot! For some reason there were still mosquitos around so we were being bitten a lot until he woke up and we got breakfast ready. We then went off to the rockpools. These were brilliant! We headed all the way up to the top of them and slid back down again going thorugh all of them. The final pool was very deep so we could jump of massive heights into them. We slowly got higher and higher until we got to the highest bit we could and took some nice shots with the go pro.
