My flight left with no delay, I was sitting next to two people who really didn't want to talk to me! I hope they dind't Think I was some creepy guy with a beard! Oh well! I watched lots of films on the 10 hour flight as it was still during the day for me in SA. When I got to Dubai airport, there was a slight delay in the landing. This caused me to panic a little bit. I was going to be late to my connecting flight.

When I got off the Plane there was a person shouting Perth! Perth! so I assumed that meant they were waiting for me! I followed the person who was taking other people to their connecting flights as well but some people were being slow so theh whole group had to slow down for them! I finally arrived at the gate to find I was 3 minutes late. Not happy. I walked to the Emirates flight desk to see what I could do. Luckily as there was a delay, they put me into a free hotel for the night while I waited for the next flight in the morning! This put me in a good mood as I would get another stamp in my passport as well as free food. I took the shuttle to the hotel and found I had a lovely twin room all to myself. It was really comfortable but I only managed 3 hours sleep sadly before I took a lovely long shower and headed for the Airport again.

When I got to the airport, the bottle of wine I had bought for our friends in Perth that I had bought at Cape Town airport was taken off me. This was so annoying! This meant I went searching for another bottle of wine from South Africa in the Dubai ariport. This was ok as I mannaged to find a nice one for not as much as I was expecting to pay. I then got onto the plane without any difficulty.

Luckily while at Dubai, I had mannaged to get in touch with the Lindsays (our friends in Perth) so they wouldn't be waiting at the airport for me to arrive for ages!
