We got up the next day to it being cold! This was because of the direction of the wind. A nice break from waking up to find yourself sweating a lot. seumas had to wake me up because I was tired from all the driving I did the previous day! In Camooweal, there is a museum of an old drover camp. This was really interesting, finding out their way of life, riding horses, leading cattle around everywhere. It reminds me of the film Australia, very appropriate. Seumas was very interested in this because he had spent a month on a sheep station before I came out to start the road trip with him.
After leaving the Museum a bit late (we got carried away), we just drove. The road is so so straight, with just bush on either side. I really enjoyed it when I drove and Seumas did as well. Very good so neither of us would get very tired at all. We realised that the passenger could climb back and have a lie down on these long straight roads, a lot more comfortable than the seat! We could also stick our heads out the roof window while we were going along really fast! So exhillarating! Especially when a road train comes thundering past! Our stop for the night was in the middle of nowhere! Just off the road there are a few gravel pits where you can put up a little fire and camp for the night. Very helpful and needed when such long distances are between towns. We had some showers with the solar shower that comes with the car, much needed as we didn't have one after the long dusty journey.
