So....Left Port Hedland at about 7.30. It was good to catch up with Beryl and have a chat. Both Beryl and Gayle and Steve recommended a compulsory stop at a place called Whim Creeek whilst en route to Karratha. Gayle and Steve were train drivers from the mines and were alkso future bike tourers on their newly purchased Triumphs. Great to meet people like this. It was quitre unusual though cos we normally attract ex mental patients when we set up camp. So...as I said earlier we were now on our way to Karratha and as the mercury climbed to 40 degrees we found Whim Creek. About 100 ks from Pt Hedland. What a little gem it was. Wish we could have stayed there. Had everything you could want in an overnight stay without stupid pricing. We had a coffee and and I am almost embarrassed to say we bought two stubby holders. Its for a good cause. Sorry Shirl. I told him not to.

George Good to finally catch up with your trip.
Shirley No worries about the stubby holders, there is now plenty of space in the cupboard after a trip to the op shop! He thought I was joking didn't he? Looking forward to catching up next Friday.
johny-stef-aus-trip-2015 Apparently Shirl we are going straight through Perth now
Des Good to be able to see what your up to
Bezza Glad you stopped here. Was definitely good to catch up with you both. Glenn was disappointed to have been working when I mentioned John. He said he would have enjoyed catching up but another time.
