Having left Whim Creek we now slowly baked our way to Karratha. With the heat really boiling our water we stopped again in a little town called Roebourne. There was quite a significant difference between Whim Creek and here. However we did get a nice cold drink and I managed to stick another 5 psi intgo the rear tyre of the bike. It was interesting the quality of the cars that came in to fuel up. I am talking HSV vehicles, GT Falcons XR Falcons and a lotg of new Prados. All appeared to be local vehicles. We left here with this bewilderment and finallyt reached Karratha. A workers town and it was quite a sight to see so much flouro clothing worn in public. A haven for tradies. Not as bad as we expected, we landed at the Big 4 park where we have set up the tents. (As pictured behind the bikes) Again we meet some interesting characters. We spoke to this guy ffrom San Salvador who we believe is a retired drug lord who has settled here for good. Some interesting landscape is a hill behind us which is known as "Mad C..T Hill" Namely as it is about 200 metrest up and very steep. Some of the nmore mad locals attempt to scale it on either bike or car. Some serious accidents have occurred there. Johyn wanted to have a crack but I talked him out of it. Waste of fuel I said. Cooling down at dinner time. So dinner and some blogging before a 7.00 bedtime.
