John WALLISH Nearly 12 months since the trip and this is possibly one of the funniest moments of the whole trip. Eric ( the truck driver )walked outside and returned very quickly holding his right calf muscle. Blood pouring out of a wound.. When he stated he had been bitten by a brown dog Daryl's reply was " be b*****ed " Eric went out to the toilet block to clean his wound. Having visited the Toilet block before eating he would have been better taking his chances with the dog that bit him. When Eric returned Daryl the one armed cooked stated that he had just the thing for Eric's wound and from behind the counter produced the 1st Band Aid ever made. It was putrid to say the least. Still Eric was happy, Daryl was happy and we left happy after a good feed.
re: Barringun, New South WalesKev Murphy ([email protected]) Stef, a great read. Enjoyed following your travels. I have found that over the years, I tend to do more and more trips. Just last weekend I wandered from Portland to Poowong East, to Bairnsdale, and back to Portland again. A bit over 1500k just for the weekend and 69 litres of go-go juice through the Honda. Passed through Ballarat around 1 pm Sunday.
re: The road goes on and on !!Stefan The Eucla cat. Made its way into my (Stef) room whilst I was doing laundry. Just calmly walked out of its own volition.
re: photo from 18 October 2015John WALLISH You cannot image how much conversation this coffee plunger generated between Stef and myself. This plunger is still in one piece because of me. I was concerned that Stef may throw it over board on the Tassie leg !! The plunger's next adventure will be a trip down the Murray River.
re: The Famous PlungerTina Hi Guys, trip sounds awesome, enjoy! Ria I will be thinking of you on the Ghost Tour! I do not envy you one bit especially having stef on board!! You are a t*** Stef!! LOL!
re: Aus Trip Phase twoTina Glad you had a great trip Stef, looking forward to hearing your stories on the Tassie trip!!!!!
re: HomeKev Murphy Good to hear you are home safe, Stef. Will follow your Tassie trip with interest, and organise a trip to see you soon.
re: HomeMick Rentsch Well done! Glad you got home safely and no doubt you feel a great sense of achievement. PS: Motogp was awesome this year!
re: HomeKev Murphy Making good time, Stef, altho I tend to travel 900 to 1600 ks per day when travelling on the V4 Honda. My last trip to Perth was 33 hours in two days of travel from Portland, with a camp over at Eucla, but I have done the trip 4 times, so have seen it all previously.
