Norseman…Today's destination. Only 200 ks and dead straight basically. Bikes were packed and loaded by 8.00. Breakfast eaten and hit the road. Got fuel and took a few pics of the coast near the pier. Or jetty as they are called here. Esperance didn't put as much cash into their jetty and it was relatively short. They worked on their gardens instead. Very impressive and manicured. We headed towards Norseman and had our first stop at Salmon Gums. Apparently so named after a fish's mouth I believe. A tranquil little place with very little to offer except toilets drink and petrol. The idea for a short day today was to get some time to do our final wash to get us home.
Landed in Norseman before lunch and chose the Gateway Caravan Park. The old woman working there seem to confuse her job with that of the village idiot's as she had no idea what we were trying to sort out. Initially Shirl checked their website and unpowered camping was $15 p/p. She quoted me $30. Then she quoted us $45 for the three but John and Shirl had already stated they wanted an en suite cabin. So begrudgingly I set about paying $30 for the campsite. Then she said "Is that just for one" To which I replied "yes" She then said "Oh that's $15" Then her computer crashed and she had to get all our details again and handwrite them down. Anyway I got the whole camp ground to myself and it was lovely on the dirt with the shade cloth nailed down to camp on. Mind byou everywhere else there was plush grass except where my tent was. John and Shirl settled into their chalet but were appalled that it took ten minutes for the aircon to cool the room down. Poor b*****s. That's disgusting.
Anyway we went into town to the only shop that sells lunch and had some there before doing a bit of shopping for tonight's dinner. Curried rice again. It is easy and tastes great.
Returned back to camp and completed the washing. Now to sit back and relax for a while. The flies drive us crazy though and they bite the little mongrels.

Terry Ah hah you have found the dreaded infamous March flies, they drill holes into your skin and hurt like all get out !!
George Steph your amazing knowledge of trees is as breathtaking as that of birds. You didn't go to see our friend next door at the restaurant? Or did you go over for a drink after the others went to bed?
Stef George I learned so much from you on the Canning. We have also seen a b****** here too
