Fursdown Farm where we stayed last night has to be the best campsite that we've stayed at so far - great facilities and what a generous host. Not only did she give us our site for free but she made us a real Cornish Cream Tea which she delivered to our van for after our meal - thank you Kathryn - we really really appreciated your kindness.
Well today was the ultimate penultimate full day of running! A lovely warm day that allowed us to run without the extra layers. We chose a quiet route away from the traffic to start, it was beautiful but exceptionally hilly and we ended up having to walk the downs as well. We did however meet a couple of runners from a local club - East Cornwall Harriers. Tracy and Sam were training for their first marathon, but seemed happy to spend a few minutes chatting. It was certainly a nice break for us before tackling the next hill.
The weather was so good that in our second break, we were able to sit outside on the grass - for the first time! Thanks Maz the chair fits perfectly! It was just half a mile into our next leg that we saw the South Coast. It was an incredible feeling to think we'd run nearly 800 miles to see it.
Highlight of the day has to be bumping into the torch relay as we ran into St Austell. Sorry Bernie - we did try to blow it out! Greg got a lot closer, but I don't think he'd seen your message!
Tomo was there to meet us at the finish once again. We heard the pipes as we descended the last hill and then there he was - with the red ball between his knees! He followed us back to our campsite where we all tucked into 'the best pasties in Cornwall' - provided of course by Tomo. What a man.
So - the facts. 810 miles run with just 50 to go. We can hardly believe it. Tomorrow is our last full day of running. The end is in sight - almost literally...

Seb Chelsea may have fluked the Champion's league but they are not heros. Unlike two (or should I say three) twits down in Cornwall! Amazing.
Waltraud Englefield Being a Munich girl I couldn't agree more!!! Absolutely amazing achievement! Keep going, hope all goes well now and may the wind be behind you!
steve forsdick` AMAZING!
Sam Hunkin Well done to you both and it was a pleasure to stop and chat to you. Not many more hills to go - such an amazing achievement. Don't forget the Cornish Marathon in November, you will have had all the practice you need with the hills in Cornwall :)
