Making full use of our last day, I got up early & had breakfast with the Henche's. After bidding them goodbye, Lorna dropped dad & I at Bradford Valley Golf Course.
This is a private members course set amongst the trees and people's homes. Not normally open to visitors they kindly let us play. I almost wish they hadn't. I played two shots all round that could be considered golf shots, lost countless balls. Yet, the sun baking hot, so I'm not to upset about the golf.
A beer in the clubhouse followed by a good lunch sitting on the terrace at the Ale House soon banished memories of golf. After popping to a couple of shops, we went back to the hotel for half an hour in the sun.
Today happened to be Cameron's birthday. So this evening the Silvers, Hansell's met up with the Taylor's extended family to celebrate. This was a great way to end the holiday.
After dinner we viewed Cameron's house that is under construction. His four bedroom house should be ready for the summer. It should have plenty of room to visit in the future.
We then paid our final visit to the Silver home. It doesn't seem that long since we first arrived. Very much a step back to last summer for myself when I stayed here for a week. At times it seems like I have two lives on the go. One in the states and one in Newcastle. It's very easy to step from one to the other.
