Following a lazy morning. We met the Silvers at East Coast Wings & Grill. When in the south it's all about chicken & meats. We shared some 'obscenely loaded nachos' to begin with. I opted or the boneless wings in a BBQ honey sauce with whisky. It was very tasty & a good lunch.
The next hour an half was spent wandering around the Greenville mall. I managed to pick up a Mountain Dew shirt that wasn't too tacky.
The sun was out in force by late afternoon. I made sure I got in an hours sunbathing at the hotel pool.
More food was on the agenda for the evening. We headed to church for all you can eat pancakes. Alongside the pancakes we had sausage patties that had a bit of a spicy kick to them. These patties were made on a grill on the back of truck out in the car park.
Following a rest back at the Silvers the night looked to be drawing to an early conclusion. Ernest & Charlene found the energy from somewhere to suggest that we go downtown as it was a Friday night. The plan was to grab a quick drink and a light snack. We ended up in what we were told the best restaurant in Greenville. I was remarkably undressed for the occasion having not anticipated this turn of events. In a T shirt shorts and flip flops as was surprised to be let in. Once seated however we did order food. I had some oysters with a glass of Pinot Gris. I am extremely glad we were motivated to go out as it was excellent food and a good way to round off the day.
