The daytime was spent in a most enjoyable, leisurely fashion. Popping out to sit in the garden in the sun was intermixed with television to cool off.
I taught Carly how to pass chip & shoot a soccer ball. Hopefully she can put these skills to good use in the future.
Charlene was in contact throughout the day to make sure that I was entertained. I had mountain dew, Netflix , & bucket loads of sunshine. I would have been entertained for weeks!
Randy came over to guide me to his home just after five. It had decided to start raining heavily at this point. I felt safe in the jeep, & was almost hoping or a flooded road.
After settling in we headed to dinner at the Texas Steakhouse. This first thing we did upon entering the building was choose our streak from the window. Apart from picking the cow itself can't get much more choice than that. The steakhouse staff occasionally did some country line dancing that added to the occasion. The meal itself was good american food. Leaving me suitably stuffed. As we walked out we were told to have a legendary day. That's a lot to live up too.
Randy showed me the '72 corvette he had reconstructed & we drove to a friends house in it. The sound coming out of that machine is everything you would want from an American muscle car. Should i ever drive across the country I hope its in a vehicle like that. He asked me if I wished to drive it back. I declined this time with it being dark, not a good time to try out a new vehicle. I am looking forward to having a go.
