We have continued south and we spent a very interesting time at a place called Bahia Bustamente where we did a 3 hour boat trip, laid on just for us. We saw hundreds of penguins and sealions all very close to the boat. There were 1000's of birds small and large and it was a fascinating experience. The petrified forest is set in a lunar landscape with odd shaped hills .it is hard to comprehend the age of the trees which are now like rocks. we continue to enjoy ourselves particularly as the weather has continued to be hot and dry. we will be heading back to the coast tomorrow meantime we are relishing being the only people on the campsite again. there is even a room with a sink and a cooker for us to use all for the price of £7 a night for each truck.however we are about 25 km from the nearest Tarmac road.

Katie Edwards This must be a nice way to travel, seeing more things off the beaten track. The Petrified Forest seems really interesting and I've never heard of it before.
