We have been here for a week now as Peter's truck needs a new turbo and it had to be ordered from Buenos Aries. The weather continues to be very kind to us and most days are sunny and warm at least some of the time. Terry and I headed down to see the glacier on Thursday and had a great day doing a boat trip and then walking the long walkways which overlook the glacier from different sides. everyone sits and hopes to see pieces of the glacier falling into the lake which involves lots of noise and which is quite something to see. we were lucky and saw a huge piece drop. We spent the night by a lake where you are allowed to camp for free, it was lovely. Since then we have been pottering around here, there is a nature reserve with lots of flamingos and ducks etc and there is a nice long promenade with views of the lake. Yesterday we went to lago Roca , very pretty with a few trees which is a rarity round here.even the eagles and the condors are to observed on the top of the fence posts by the roads as you drive down them! We did discuss moving on ahead of J +P but we are quite content to wait as there is no rush and the campsite has lovely warm showers and hot water and is right in the town, so very handy.we are constantly surprised by how quickly the days pass by with lots of sitting and reading and doing crosswords! We do insist on at least one walk a day to try and work up an appetite for the next meal, the problem is all the cakes in between meals! We do think of all our family and friends back home but hey, where would you rather be?
