Today was a day of planning... (ish)
With a bonus free night at Stacey and Jaypee's to look forward to (we had got our air bnb check in slightly wrong... and they were nice enough to have us for one more night), we caught the train to Central for brunch and planning.
Heading to an interesting place called 'Corduroy' that Alex picked, it was quite a mission. First, we missed Central station, so we walked it from Town Hall. Now quite hungry, and already walked out, we arrive to discover the place is closed. Thanks Google!
...so we went to the place next door, where we lucked into probably the best brunch that we've had in Australia thus far! No photos... we ate it too quickly.
We then tried to plan the broad strokes until the end of Feb, but as it took a while, we felt bad as we were taking up a table of the little independent place. So, we decide to walk to Custom House, which has free wifi.
Making the 30 min stroll through the city, it was very pleasant weather. 23 degrees and partial sun. Lovely.
Arriving back at Custom House, unfortunately their wifi was quite poor, so we were probably best served by staying at Stacey's in hindsight. But nevertheless, we finally booked our flights to Adelaide on 5th Jan. It's on. Very exciting!
However, as booking the tickets took oh so very long, we decide to call it a day there and we return home. Also, Stacey and Jaypee are cooking tacos for us!
As thanks for this, and for their hospitality, we buy them a Jenga set on the way home. It's a little pricey, but as they like their boardgames and do not have Jenga, we figure that it is a thoughtful present!
Once home, we eat tasty tacos, play Jenga (Jaypee loses), and watch Rush Hour 2 on their sofa. It's so nice being able to chill out on a sofa.
...and that was it! A fairly uneventful day, but they can't all be barnstorming. Tomorrow, we move to our air bnb in South Coogee!
