After all the fun and overconsumption of yesterday's Boxing Day (aka Christymas), today was an altogether chilled out affair, with not much to report.

We arose late-ish from our hotel room to check out and leave our bags at the concierge, so that we could have brunch at the nearby Coogee Pavilion. Unfortunately, it was reasonably disappointing - indeed we've had much better in Australia. We then decline an offer of a lift back to Carlton from Christy, so we can chill out in Coogee, and as such return back to the hotel's lobby in order to read our books. We also didn't want to be too much of a pain for our hosts... they've been so good to us!

After Alice had completed her book - 'Chasing Harry Winston' (by the author of The Devil Wears Prada if you must know), we then grabbed a bus and train across town, back to Carlton. Journey of about an hour.

When we return, we chill by watching the Xmas edition of Dr Who - Alice has found the Australian iPlayer for this kind of thing, and we play Uno with the set that Christy has bought for her work (just breaking it in for her).

Then we buy takeaway dinner for Stacey and Jaypee at a local Turkish Chicken place they suggest. This was very tasty indeed... but very heavy.

Discovering Stacey and Jaypee are actually big board game fans (they play regularly with other like minded couples....) we enjoy playing Balderdash, where Alice wins. Well done Alice!! :-)

We then retire to our rooms to play more Uno, then bed.
