Ok first things first, il fill you in on what happened yesterday. I had a little trip to the clinic as ive been feeling rough for about 3 weeks and wanted to get anything sorted out before i started travelling around. My friend Joel also has been ill and also another friend Phil , was taken to hospital to be put on a drip as he had a kidney infection. They think we all have the same virus thing but has caused different problems for each of us. I got to have an ultra sound, my blood tested, they tied an elastic band round my arm hehe, and the woman battered me on my back i was trying so hard not to laugh. the whole experience cheered me up as it was so funny. they worked out me and joel have gastritus(not sure how u spell it) but im on a 10 day course of antibiotics. i take like 5 pills every morning.
Will be getting the truck this afternoon with Joel. Will be meeting our friends Sarah and Phil on wednesday in Cusco. Hopefully wont be feeling to rough for the journey as its meant to be pretty uncomfortable.
Really sad that i have left my project, i keep expecting to go back with all the other volunteeers this afternoon and saying like aww we can go to this restaurant next weekend, but nope we wont be here next weekend. ah well i do feel like its time to move on and see the rest of the world.
well the week jus gone by was probably the werst but still good. just because ive been ill and knowing that im leaving. Been making my own food like nice veg soup as the chef is ill (i blame him for us all getting ill, he coughs in our food!!)
projects iv been doing include taking wax footprints of tracks in the mud, collecting green slop from a swamp to feed the turtles, and as my last activity i requested to do lodge maintenance so i could say bye to all the animals. i was playing with the monkeys and my friend past over one he was holding which had hiccups - so cute, and she pooed all over my shoulder and wiped her bum on me!! funny but disgusting.
On wednesday we all got a big canoe and paddled back from Peurto. Its 28km and it took us 6hours. very hot we´d just jump off and swim whenever the heat got too much.We accidentally went the wrong way so had to stop and push the boat upstream and turn the right way, that was hard work. Lot of fun though.
Well thats me from the jungle, next stop Andes!!! Machu Pichu here i come
