Day 353 (Saturday 22nd November 08)

Woke up to find someone else had parked up by us. Into the centre of Hanmer Springs for some breakfast and then onto fill up with some petrol before we ran out! Made our way further into the centre of the South Island through Springs Junction and Murchison. Another long drive all morning and getting very hungry but couldn't find anywhere to stop to make something to eat as the roads very windy! Again awesome scenery around us. Into Motueka and wanted to find a campsite for the night. Asked at the information centre where the campsites were around and how much they were. They weren't sure on prices so went to check one of them out. Seemed expensive, especially for what it was so carried on slightly further north closer to the Abel Tasman National Park to a place called Kaiteriteri and found a cheaper campsite which seemed really good! Made some lunch and there was a duck with a limp hanging around our van so felt sorry for him and started feeding him some bread so soon ended up with all the birds and ducks around the van! Did some study for the afternoon and made something to eat.
