Better day today. Alan and June went riding, Nick and John decided to go mountain biking!!! Claire and I decided to have a lazy morning by the pool. A chap called Peanut was running the mountain biking (Nick kept calling him walnut) !! Claire and I had a lovely swim and read our books in the lovely sunshine. Met up with the others for lunch. After lunch we had a wonderful horse ride led by Joe one of the older wranglers who has been at the ranch for 40 years!! A lovely man. Rode by and through the river and beside Paul Mcartney's. Ranch. A flag was flying by the ranch which apparently means someone is in residence, didn't see anyone though. My lead rope came undone from the pommel, Nick was riding behind me as I hadn't noticed and shouted to Joe who came and tied it up again. It was very hot but a lovely last ride before leaving the ranch tomorrow. We had another game of pickle ball what a laugh..... Last dinner in the dining room everyone was sad to be leaving but lots of adventures to come. That evening we went to the doghouse saloon and had a great evening learning to play poker with a man dressed as Wyatt Earp (don't tell Nick but he was very good looking!). It was great fun and everyone enjoyed themselves.. Back at the lodge started packing but left most of it for morning as ready for sleep.
