Up early this morning ready for our first horse ride. The famous knicker bokkers are on, awesome sight, under my riding trousers which seem a bit tighter than they were two years ago (can't understand it they must have shrunk in the wash). Feeling nervous but soon find myself sitting on a pretty horse called A1. The oldest wrangler called Joe was leading our group. It was a beautiful ride through the desert fantastic cacti and a few flowers coming into bloom. We spotted a red tailed hawk which was exciting. An hour later found us back at the ranch and with the help of a young wrangler (lucky me!) I was staggering up to the tack room on jelly like legs. After lunch we watched my sister in law June play in a tennis doubles match which she won with her partner (she is the over 70s GB world champion). Nick and I went for a swim and soak in the hot tub which was lovely we had the spa to ourselves. It was a lovely day finished off with some margarita cocktails.
