Woke up to a fresh but sunny morning. Looked out of the window to an amazing sight a lake and.harbour surrounded by beautiful mountains. We walked down to the lake it was stunning we passed jack rabbits and cotton tails in the woods. The water was crystal clear and sparkling in the sunshine. The water level is very low at the moment so the boat trips can't go to all of their usual smaller creeks. Big carp were swimming around near the big boat waiting for bread. We made our way back up to the car as we had a tour booked to go to Antelope Canyon. We drove to Page and booked in our guide was Native American called Leonard (my Dads name). He was very knowledgeable and pointed out fantastic rock formations to us. Half way through our tour he played a beautiful tune on a triple flute it was surreal. To get too and from the canyon we travelled in a truck with benches in the back! They drove very fast and it felt a bit like a roller coaster ride! Two Native American young men did a hoop dance which was fun the wind blew up towards the end of their dance and sand blew everywhere just for a couple of minutes, gave us a feel of what a sand storm was like. The tour was awesome as everyone says out here!! We did some shopping in a Safeways and came out with a big box of doughnuts! What a lovely day. The next day we had a last walk down to the lake and fed the fish then we loaded the car up again and set off for Monument Valley. The scenery was magnificent again. We stopped off and had a picnic and fed some magpies and a cute little dog who belonged to a nearby garage then on for our next adventure.
