Woke up to a cloudy day feeling chilly apparently very unusual for Tucson!!! We were due to go on a breakfast ride so made our way down to the wranglers roost. We were some of the first to get our horses, I was pleased because I had A1 again. As we waited for the others to mount their horses it started to rain and after a while the wranglers called us in and cancelled the ride - so disappointing. We went back to our cabins and lazed around for a while then the weather cleared a bit so we went to play pickle ball we are getting better managed to have a rally of 6 hits today before the ball left the court!!!!! After lunch it was still dry so we went and took part in team penning. The six of us formed a team we were called "the ancient apprentices" and we had three minutes to round three steers up and get them into a pen. (They were very small steers more like calves). John came up with a plan which we all quickly forgot in the excitement . My horse was a mustang and to my alarm was getting very excited and I found myself trotting instead of walking thank goodness for my famous knicker Bokkers. It was great fun and to our amazement after two goes we won!!! That evening a cowboy was singing and playing country music in the Doghouse saloon.
