So our last two weeks in London have been our last in the Uk. In almost one last reminder of it's crap weather we had a couple of nice days, however the rest were cold, wet &/or windy. Kind of hard to believe that summer over here is only two weeks away. We have spend the time in a nice apartment off Whitechapel rd, although when I say spent time it was more like returning there to sleep as we have been doing some hard core sightseeing. Things like Westminster Abbey, St Paul's, Churchills Bunker, HMS Belfast, museums, boat rides, markets, zoos, aquariums, squirrel feeding, high places, palaces, parks & west end plays. It has been a real trip down memory lane & has been fantastic to experience it with Jac's parents. Tony & Paula have loved the whole experience too & are planning on a return one day. Our final meeting in London was with our dear polish friend Joanna. It is always hard to say goodbye to those you meet traveling, especially someone so amazing, but it was really a fitting way to be able to spend that final time with a favourite Londoner, well Polski Londoner anyways. See ya down in Aus Joey. For our final evening Jac took me to see the new Star Trek movie as a birthday present. Yes I'm a geek from way back but I knew if we didn't see it tonight then I had no chance in the next 2.5 months. Mission accomplished. Today being my b'day we were up early & Jac & I had our final tube ride up to Kings Cross. Here we picked up a brand new C class Merc & headed back to the apartment to pick up Tony & Paula. Then it was goodbye for a long time to London. You have been an amazing city & we have shared good times & bad, although mostly good thankfully. We've met amazing people & been to amazing places because of you, so Thankyou for everything. See you later in life. Then it was off to Brighton for a few hours wandering the pier & town as the cold wind whipped in. After a few hours we headed back to our hotel at Gatwick ready to bid farewell to the UK early tomorrow. A nice steak dinner & earlyish bed time as it's a 6.20am flight to the Greek Islands. Finally we don't have to be cold again for the next couple of months.
