Up at 6am and gone by 7 from our camping ground. It was was still dark as we set off for the long drive to Barcelona. We avoided the tolls so the trip took about 4 hours. We arrived in Barcelona with time to spare so dumped our packs at the hotel then drove out of the city to drop off the van. We didn't really expect the depot to be so far out so glad we got rid of our packs. We caught the train back in as the rain began to fall. It was also the coldest day of our travels so far, so much for spring in Spain. We have really only had the one beautiful day in this country. Anyway back in Barcelona we checked in then headed back out to spend the afternoon in this beautiful city. We saw Sagrada La Familia from the outside last time we were here so decided to go see the inside. We booked tickets online then walked the 2.5 km's. We then spent the next 3 hours exploring all the Basilicas areas. It is just as spectacular inside as out. The interior is done like a canopy of trees and combined with all the artwork, both inside and out, well there really isn't anything like it on this planet. After taking in as much as we could we had an amazing feed, then returned to our hotel. We were cold and wet so decided to warm up then head back out. But it was getting late, we were tired and the rain was heavy. Sadly we decided to stay in as we have a 5am start tomorrow. Its a shame as Barcelona is one of our favourite city, but last time we were here we did see a lot. So bye to Spain tomorrow but on to the south of France. Just hoping we get a weeks worth of warm weather.
