After an early wake up call from the MIL (mother in law), we decided it would be a good time to wake up! It wasn't that early really but as usual Dan & I had been up late the night before playing around on the net plotting our next move!
After venturing outside we came across a sport shop that sold thermals, so having only brought over one set I decided that I needed a spare so that I could have a rotation system happening with my daily attire. We also managed to find some cheap gloves as I needed to replace both my own & Danny's as they had gone walkabouts in Amsterdam- whoops!
We had a bit of time to fill in before the museum we wanted to go to would open, so we had some more tapas for lunch which was pretty good. More wandering the streets & then headed towards Parc De La Ciutadella, a park I had wanted to see. There aren't actually many located in the city but this one was pretty impressive, beautiful fountain and lots of grass to lie on. We also came across the parliament house on the way and then wandered back along the Arc de Triomf.
We finally managed to check out the old Roman ruins that are located underneath the modern day city of Barcelona at the history museum. Very cool to be walking around underground & looking at things that are over 2000 years old. Archaeologists were able to determine that there were places like a winery, fish sauce preparation place, church & laundry mat! Don't ask me how they know these things- they just do!
Also just as a side note, I am getting over the lack of personal space that European people allow you when in open spaces. Back off why don't you?
A kiwi juice & croissant later, we headed to an Irish Bar for 1.50€ Heneikken stubbies. About 5 later & now we have decided to bail on the Flamenco idea & will go in search of some cheap din dins! Another lively day in Barcelona people!

Jac Aunty Paula is doing very well on the whole puter thang! Tapas was lovely - best one Oxtail & Chocolate! Sounds disgusting but was really lovely, like a stew. Could hardly taste the chocolate. Has won awards apparently! First & last time ever that dad will ever correct my spelling! I knew when i wrote it that it was incorrect but couldn't bother changing it. Maybe I will get another blog in before Christmas time!
