Claire still wasn't so good this morning so we went to the docs and begrudgingly paid 55$ for an appointment. It was a good job as the doc diagnosed a serious throat infection and a 10 day course of penicillin. So at least it's raining outside still so we arn't missing out on anything from the throat infection.

We decided to drive over to Lake Tekapo which should of been absolutley breathtaking with views of the mountains and lakes, but we saw nothing apart from clouds, rain and more clouds! Oh, and some sheep, lots of sheep.Hopefully it will be better on the way back.

Lake Tekapo is a tiny little holiday resort type village set against the lake, but we obviously couldn't see anything! The town also has hot springs, but with Claire's throat it's probably not a wise idea . Only going to stay a day though for now, we'll come back in another couple of days when the weather is better and hopefully we can start our skiing!
