What we hoped was going to be 'cracking the flags' today, was quickly demolished as the rain clouds had again kindly settled over our van.

We had a nice walk around Lake Matheson which should have given us breathtaking views of the mirror reflection in the lake of the surrounding alps, but instead gave us a grim, murky relfection of their outlines! We did however, make the walk quite interesting by doing the 1½ hour journey with our eyes closed and guiding each other round! A pretty fun way to pass time! Planning on heading over to the Franz Josef Glacier tomorrow.
