Ready to tackle the land of the Kiwis? We think so! We've had a great time in OZ, but we are so looking forward to exploring the amazing country of New Zealand!

We boarded the plane - Dave being a little disappointed that it was a smaller plane than usual with no personal TVs - The dillemma! We were still on top form after being stopped by security and dave being searched for a bomb! It wasn't long before we were flying over snow capped mountains, looking in awe at the scenery from 30000 feet in the in air.

Again our bags were first off - it's been 2 trips now where there hasn't been a problem...

Ok, so Christchurch, New Zealand is freezing! We dropped our stuff off at our hostel and whacked the radiator on full before heading to the city. The city centre is dominated by Christchurch Cathedral over looking a large square. It's not a big ciy by most standards but it's actually the biggest in the South Island (less than a million people live on the South Island). We considered a game of giant chess but decided it wasn't really the weather.

We stayed out the rest of the evening having a home cooked tea at an Irish Bar where we stayed on for the pub quiz . The less said about the quiz the better. We lasted 2 rounds before slowly sneaking out. We didn't want to embarass ourselves with the results - we knew about 2 answers from the first 2 rounds - What do we know about NZ's history, politics and sports!

Even though we've been here less than 24 hours we already really like it here and are really looking forward to the next 3 months!
