Woke up with a bit of a thick head this morning so decided to cure this little problem with another chocolate coated waffle and a hearty lunch before going for a walk into the Valley of the Waters.
The Valley of the Waters is basically a huge canyon type cliff into the mountains valley where you take a very long and steep stairway down to the bottom, crossing streams and stopping every 5 minutes to take in the waterfalls which surround you.
We finally got to the bottom and the trail then took us along the valley's floor before we came to Wentworth Falls - a beautiful and enormous 2 tiered waterfall coming from the top of the canyon and down the cliff face. We then took ourselves up onto the second tier for more amazing views of the mountains before tackling the worst - the walk back up to the top! It wasn't one of the most pleasant and easiest climbs we've had to do with having to climb over boulders using ropes and up staircases completely enclosed by a cage, so you dont fall back! We made it though...eventually!
Getting back into Sydney late in the evening we went out for our last meal in Oz (for now) with Ai's brother and sister. Had a banquet of peking duck where we had to bring our Asian eating skills back into use, just using chopsticks for everything!
What a great way to end this part of the trip - a great weekend with 2 great people who we will hopefully see again soon when they come to England!
