Tonight we had to drag those weary limbs back onto the pitch for one last push to try and get to the final, however the Americans from Dakota were just as determined to get there themselves.
A typical American team, in that they were well organised, well drilled and athletic. A very tight game in which one goal was always going to be decisive, and it came near the end of the first half after we lost possession in a silly area and they went through to score.
We huffed and puffed but couldn't blow the American house down. We just didn't have the energy required to force the issue against such a tough team and the game just fizzled out without us ever really testing the goalkeeper.

However the girls can be proud of their efforts. A small squad of 13 players compared to the American's 18 or whatever who could afford to make lots of subs, told in the end. I hope they go on and win it.
All the girls have done well this week and played some great football in front of some big crowds so hopefully they won't be too hard on themselves, but I know the final is going to be painful to watch today!

Mr and Mrs Ottey An excellent report and summary. We hope that you take on board Steve's comments and do not dwell on the result. Try very hard to enjoy the day.
Tobbe Thank you a great game in the semi your squad was by far the best we played at Gothia and it was a pleasure playing you. Thank you and best of luck Dakota REV Rampage
