Cestria marched into the last 32 with a resounding 6-1 win over the Mexicans who competed well but were steamrollered in the end.
Again we got off to a dodgy start. After a prolonged, fruitless spell of pressure from us the Mexicans gained a corner resulting in an own goal putting us a goal behind.
To the girls credit they never wavered and got straight back into their rhythm, forcing some great saves from the keeper. Eventually the dam burst and Jess coolly slotted home, Beth followed up with an absolute belter right into the top corner. Inevitably Zoe got in on the act, after scoring a hattrick in every game so far she was determined to keep her record up, and she didn't disappoint with 2 goals before half time.

The girls continued to play some great stuff in the second half and the fifth goal went in, a cracker from Meg right into the corner. Cestria added one more before the end and guess who? Zoe claimed her 4th hattrick in 4 games to round off the scoring. A great achievement.
Speaking to a Swedish fan who said the team we beat 4-1 yesterday are one of the top teams in Gothenburg just to put things in context.
