After 2 full games today we were required to play another against crack Italian outfit Real Libertas Como who were unbeaten and had already accounted for last years U14 champions Vartans for a place on the show pitches in the last 8.
The girls looked exhausted during the first half and were a bit off the pace and went in at HT 1-0 down after a soft freekick was allowed to cross the line.

After a right rollicking, the smashing of tea cups and a blown up hairdryer at half time the girls dragged themselves onto the pitch and went at their theatrical opponents. Zoe powered in a bullet header from a corner to equalise and Briggsy put us 2-1 up with a scrambled goal. Then to seal victory Meg put a slide rule pass through for Zoe to round the keeper and walk the ball into the net much to the Cestria fans pleasure.

We're in the last 8 tomorrow v Ravasens IK at 14:15 on the show pitches, all 4 quarter finals are on at the same time. Probably the biggest crowd the girls have played in front of so far with lots of Americans coming to support us. Should be good
