Today saw us take on the other unbeaten team in our group from Sweden, Torslanda IK. They had won 6-0 and 4-0 so we knew we'd be in for a tough game.
We couldn't have wished for a more calamitous start as, straight from our kick off, we'd worked it back to Amy in goal and after an unfortunate bobble the ball worked it's way to the opposing number 12 who slotted it in the empty net.
The girls responded with 2 crackers from Zoe, the first she powered past the centre half and fired past the keeper, and the 2nd she went on a run beating a few players before unleashing a scorcher in off the post.

The second half saw us create numerous chances and although Torslanda played some neat stuff they couldn't find a way through to hurt us. Zoe completed her hattrick with a great volley and Rosie added a 4th after great work from Maddy. A special mention for Zoe Ness today who scored a spectacular hattrick and had a couple of people asking who the number '9' is. Great individual performance. That's a hattrick in every game so far for her!!
FT 4-1
Tough day tomorrow with possibly 3 games. It's the knockout stages starting with last 64 teams where it's looking like we're gonna play America Elite from Mexico. If we win it's 2pm ko in last 32. If we win that it's last 16 at 8pm.
