Quarter final day today v Team Noga (USA) who I think hadn't conceded a goal yet in the competition so we knew it was gonna be tough. In front of a huge crowd we kicked off into the wind and soon got into our stride attacking the yanks goal with only the occasional hoof over the top to worry about. However we kept missing chances so the half ended 0-0.
Cestria 0-0 Team Noga (USA)
The girls didn't panic though and kept playing their football, and sure enough they got their reward a couple of minutes in after a great strike from Beth Hepple. The Americans were restricted to rare forays into our half with us keeping possession and being patient. That patience paid off when Rosie Mc scored 2 goals after some good work from Rosie Young, Meg Lawson and Megan Johnson.
FT Cestria 3:0 Team Noga (USA)
A tough American team await in the Semis so fingers crossed.

Mr and Mrs Ottey Thank you gents for the report and the photos. We are pleased that we are not there. We could not stand the tension and Michael would not be able to keep his big mouth shut!! The girls have played at least 2 games daily with skill and determination and have our total respect and admiration., For that matter so do the management team and all the back up including the supporters .We wish you good luck for the rest of the tournament. You have done the north east and your country proud, well done.
