Headed to Kings Canyon today. About 330km from Uluru. Found a nice grassy patch to camp, in the "resort". Similar set up to Yulara, although not as big-and fuel was even more expensive -$2.28/litre!!!! We shared the camping area with 2 high school groups on camp-so about 80 teenagers in the pool! We spent 3 nights enjoying Douglas Hot Springs. Arrived on the Saturday-to a very busy camping ground. After checking out the water-I could see why!
