After a very comfortable night at the Big 4 in Katherine, we headed off to explore Katherine Gorge. The area is full with bats at the moment, so we were unable to camp at the gorge-too stinky. We hired a canoe, and took turns paddling around the first gorge. Spectacular rock walls, amazing flora and cool water. Very relaxing way to explore! We headed into Katherine today, for re supply of food and essentials. Shopping at Katherine woollies was bizarre. Not sure if I felt overwhelmed because of so many people, (in the bush too long), or because it is just so different! Enjoyed washing in a washing machine, and clean sheets and towels!!!
