We've decided that there's loads more we want to do in Queenstown so we're going to stay another night. Although not in a pay for place, doing a little freedom camping somewhere. We checked out at 11.00am, we'd read about a farmer's market which was on the same site as the movie last night so we drove there first to see what it was. It was really small, I'm not sure why but we were expecting something bigger. It was nice though, food, drinks and live music. We didn't spend that long here before driving back to town. We had seen a car park which was only $2.50 (£1.25) for the whole day until 6.00pm, so we left the van there and headed off to do some luging. We'd read and seen pictures about this and decided to give it a go. It's basically a little cart which you drive down a course going down hill. To get there we got a gondola ride which was a really steep cable car up to the top of the mountain. We then had to get helmets and get a ski lift to the very top to do our first luge ride. The queue was huge so we were freezing whilst waiting but it was good to watch everyone. It was very quick but great fun, we had paid for two luge rides so went straight back up. Seen as it was our second go it was a lot quicker as we didn't need instructions this time and we got to go on a steeper course, awesome fun!! The views from the top of the mountain were incredible, worth coming up here for a look alone. We sat inside to warm up and got some great photos before getting the gondola back down. We were hungry when we got to the bottom so headed for the famous Fergburger. This place was so busy but their burgers were amazing. After this we found an English pub called the Pig and Whistle to sit in for a while and get a few drinks while we decide what to do tomorrow. Before heading back to the van we crossed the road to a cookie shop which was having a happy hour, buy one get one free on hot cookies, very nice way to finish the day. Back at the van we decided there were no 'no camping' signs in the car park so we're going to give it a go and stop here tonight.
