We got up quite early this morning and set off pretty quickly. We did manage to get a good day time look at the giant fruit and get a few photos to boot. The clouds were really low and just cutting across the middle of the mountains so the tops were peaking out, it looked amazing. The drive to Queenstown was a quick one, only 45 minutes away. We'd decided to go for a paid campsite tonight so headed straight for the site. After paying for a site we chose where to park up and got the electricty plugged in by 11.00am. We started to get everything charged and put the heater on. We gave it a little while until we had some phone battery back for photographs then we set off into the centre of Queenstown. They have a winter festival on at the moment so we headed for the waterfront where they were playing dodgeball. They had a court set up and were playing with teams of five dressed up individuals. It was hilarious, the players were really well spirited and the commentators were really funny. It was pretty cold sat there but we did get free hand warmers! When we'd seen the final we walked in search of somewhere to get a drink and something to eat. We went to a pub close by and got warm, we then went back to the van for a bit. Tonight we are going to a drive in movie for the first time. We're going to watch Cool Runnings which starts at 9.00pm but we've got to be there before hand to get parked up. We had a few hours in the van before this so we got some washing done at the campsite etc. We did a bag of microwave popcorn before leaving for the movie. We got in pretty quickly and were given the radio station to tune into for the sound. The film (even though we've both seen it loads of times) was awesome. On the drive back the police were doing breath tests on everyone. James had to say his name and address into a machine which read no alcohol so we could drive on. They seem pretty serious about drink driving. Back to the campsite we hooked up the heater and got to bed.
