We didn't get up too early this morning as we didn't have a very long drive to do today to Lake Tekapo. Since we'd stayed overnight in a dump spot car park (which sounds awful but it was really nice and the views were awesome) we took advantage of getting a few campervan jobs done, water refill etc. Before setting off to Lake Tekapo we had a little place to visit, on the coast here at Timaru there is a place called Scarborough! We had to visit seen as we were so close. To get to Scarborough we had to drive down Scarborough Road, unfortunately Scarborough was so small it didn't have a sign we could photo, gutted! It scarily looked very similar to the UK's Scarborough's coastline. After our trip out we set off to Lake Tekapo, we got there around 4.00pm. The views on the drive were amazing, we've seen snow already so far but not as deep as this! We'd thought about going for a walk up one of the mountains but this was now not going to happen as we only have trainers. I wasn't feeling too great anyway so we decided to try to find somewhere to park for the evening. There was a paid site to park the van but it was very expensive and we'd already filled the water etc. To plug in and get some heat would be nice but it's very expensive just for that. We ended up pulling up in a car park in the middle of town, two other campers had already pulled up and it was obvious they were staying the night. So we settled in, made tea and got to bed.
