The rain had finally stopped today, yay! So we got the van ready so that we could drive. We had read about a seal colony near a waterfall and we wanted to go and look at the seals from yesterday too as it was way too wet to get a good look. We drove to the waterfall and had a walk through some trees and then we saw a seal just happily sat on a rock. We could hear lots more from where we were so we walked further in. The sight was amazing, we saw so many seals playing and jumping in the water and sleepy on the rocks. We spent quite a while there watching them. When we walked back out we walked over the road which overlooked the sea and we saw a seal come out into the sea. We then drove along the coast to the seal place from yesterday we saw loads of seals on the rocks along the road side on the way. We passed a van which was selling crayfish fritters, we decided to get one each for our lunch. Kaikoura is apparently famous for it's crayfish so we had to try it. It was really nice and exactly what we fancied for lunch. We got out of the van after lunch and saw hundreds more seals, we walked up a hill to look at the stunning view. After we'd had a walk around and it was getting late in the afternoon we decided to stay at the pub again tonight but this time actually get to go inside. When we'd parked up we decided to go straight inside to make sure we could go. We had a few drinks sat next to the roaring fire whilst we charged our phones. For tea we had a lamb roast dinner which was amazing. We stayed in the toasty warm until 8.00pm ish when she closed the pub and we went back to the van for the night.
