So we decided to do our best to ignore the results of the US election and headed off for a day of geology with David from GeoGata. We headed first to San Jose and then on to Playa de los Genoveses where we set off with our magnifying glasses around our necks to learn about rocks only to find one of those beautiful beaches that feature on the postcards. We spent the morning here looking at the geological features, wildlife and vegetation and taking in the amazing views before heading back to San Jose for coffee and then heading on to the Roquillamar area and more stunning views and beautiful beaches as well as a volcano caldera and some disused gold mines to complete the geology lesson. School done for the day we headed back to the campsite for Megan and Daniel to hit the (unheated) pool and the grown-ups to sit beside it. A good day of worldschooling.
