We got the ferry to Calais and then drove to Ypres, a Belgium town, where the first world war was fought.

That afternoon, we went to a museum and learnt about the war. Next, we had yummy chips. After that, we went for a walk along the walls. That evening, we went to a ceremony remembering people who fought and died in the first world war. It was very busy, and on the walls of the arch were names of people who died in Ypres during the first world war and have no known grave.

Finally, we went back to the campsite for pizza.
