The rain put paid to our plans for a last morning in Denmark so we decided to set off for the ferry in the hope that we could get the long, necessary drive done as early as possible and hopefully the weather would improve. Improve it did so that it had hit 30 degrees by the time we had crossed the Baltic Sea and were driving South on the German mororway.... the same boring motorway with the epic traffic jam we sat in back in May was still as boring and as packed...

We were in a traffic jam for hours and hours. We even drove the wrong way round on the motorway. I walked on the motorway. I played chess on two chess boards. Words by Daniel

A short cycle ride to see a tiny part of the Black Forest (to which we must return some day), some football, some lego and lots of time enjoying the lazy, sunny, Sunday.

We woke up to a different world to the snowy one that greeted us yesterday and so as the sun shone we managed to take over about 6 pitches on the campsite and dry out everything we could whilst wondering whether the snow blizzard that we drove through yesterday actually happened?! A very lazy day on the campsite with the children enjoying the playground and us all enjoying the last bbq for this trip.
