We had a morning of school on the campsite and then headed off to the station in Aranjuez to get the train to Madrid.
We headed first for the Bernabeu stadium to see where Real Madrid would be playing Borussia Dortmund later. I think we may be done with our tour of football stadiums now, as this was deemed "not very good really", especially compared to Valencia.
We then headed to Cooking Point and our tapas cooking class where we learned how to make sangria, patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo, chorizos a la sidra, spanish omelette, tomato bread with cured ham and a crema catalana to finish. Everyone was very proud of themselves as we laid out all our dishes and sat ourselves down to enjoy our creations and very delicious it all was too!
It was very late and very cold though by the time we got the train back to Aranjuez and there were no taxis to be seen in the station. After waiting a while, we decided that we were going to have to walk back to the campsite through the eerie, foggy, cold, dark, deserted streets... the walk wasn't helped by Daniel pointing out the houses en-route that looked to be haunted... but luckily we made it back safely just in time to get into bed just the right side of midnight - very pleased to be back insde Bob and warm!
