We headed for the Sierra de Huetor national park this morning as we were keen to get on the bikes and a man at the campsite had recommended it for cycling.... I had asked several times whether it would be suitable for children (and me) and he had assured me that we would be fine but on arriving we decided that a walk might be a safer option! We headed off following the Cruz del Víznar sendero and climbed to an amazing view over Granada and across to the Sierra Nevada mountains. After a picnic lunch at the top Megan, Daniel and Daddy climbed even further to the Cruz de Viznar, even though there were signs saying not to climb - apparently there were lots of Spaniards doing so, so it was ok! Luckily they made it safely back down and we headed back to Bob, walking through the pine forests and then it was a late afternoon drive on to Cordoba.
